Ender's Game by Orson Scott CardSix-year-old Ender is accepted into Battle School to train with other children to fight against an alien race called 'The Buggers.' He may be brilliant, but he has a lot to learn! But what can a young child do?
I didn't like this book very much. In fact, I skipped most of the last chapter because it really isn't my genre. I'm sure that those out there who enjoy science fiction would just devour this book.
I can't remember how many pages.... about two or three hundred.

This is one of my all time favorite books by one of my all time favorite authors. It launched my love for sci-fi. I even have an autographed copy. I can't remember how many times I've read it.
I thought you would like this one!
Science fiction is okay, but it was just a little too... technical for me.
I would recommend reading it again when you get older. You might like it better. I read The Lord of the Rings when I was twelve, and was not impressed. I read it again in 2001 before the movies came out and absolutely loved it.
I'm trying to think of some books you might like. Have you read the Anastasia books by Lois Lowry? I loved them when I was your age. They are very funny and entertaining. Of course, anything by Lois Lowry is fabulous. Have a great day!
